AutoCAD 2018

The last version of AutoCAD to receive updates was 2018 and is still in use for some tasks.

Forma

Autodesk Forma is not yet being used for conceptual design but may in the near future, and is available as part of the Forum suite of products. You will not find it installed on your desktop as it is a web platform only.

Revit 2024

Revit is quickly becoming the primary tool for the Architecture team at Forum. We are currently using version 2024 till we adopt 2026 in May of 2025. Organization-wide adoption of the newest Autodesk Software will typically occur every year in June. 2025 is an exception as Autodesk has done a major rewrite of the application changing it from .NET to .NET Core. This is the reason we decided to forgo the implementation of Revit 2025.

PyRevit

Dynamo for Revit

While Dynamo is a part of every Revit it is rarely used by many, but there are many useful tools Forum has created in Dynamo to automate production tasks if you are interested. Just ask our Design Technology department.

Desktop Connector

Desktop Connector is often overlooked but a required software to run Revit in the ACC Docs cloud. Make sure you have the latest version. Download

ACC - Docs

ACC stands for Autodesk Construction Cloud where Docs is a service we use to store our Revit and AutoCAD files.

Twin Motion

Twin motion is no longer a free basic rendering tool for Revit models as a 2024 terms of service update to the revenue clause restricts us from using this tool for official Forum production. However, the tool is free for individuals with a private account (not a Forum email address for non-Forum realted task). Download

Lumion

Lumion is a professional rendering tool that may be used when requested by your Studio Director. Lumion learning link

Blue Beam

Forum almost exclusivle uses Bluebeam as our primary markup and collaboration tool. many of these capabilities are also available in ACC Docs as well.

Procore

Forum's administration as well as our construction administration and project managers use Procore to communicate and track construction phase services for submittals and RFI's
