Processes

• Forum will create the project in Autodesk Construction Cloud, abbreviated as "ACC."

• Invite all project participants that will work on the project. Any participant that will need to view, markup, edit, upload, or download will need to be invited.

• Forum will, at a minimum, weekly (if changed) export AutoCAD files for Revit for any consultants that require it.

  • Future: Forum will soon deploy automatically .DWG exports on a scheduled 24hr. basis. Once this is complete, there will be no reason to generate a transmittal regarding new files. They will be semi-realtime on demand. 

• Upon the exported DWGs being available on ACC, a Forum team member will generate an ACC Transmittal with the entire team as a recipient, including extended team members.

• Upon receiving the transmittal, the organization may use the transmittal's provided link to view the location of the exports.

  • Forum is currently asking its partners to explore the use of hosting the AutoCAD files in ACC and synced with the help of the Autodesk Desktop connector (free download). This is not required. We encourage this as it will support future workflows we will be adopting.

  • It is essential to know that M, E, P, and S will have access to the Revit files to export files as needed and coordinate.

• Partners not using the recommended workflow of hosting DWGs in ACC with Autodesk Desktop Connector will need to upload their most recent files to the Project Files\Design Teams\Archive\YYYYMMDD - Description.
