Teens Support
We think what we learnt during internship in KELY equips us with more knowledge and a considerate heart for being a good teacher. We also learnt how to start a project from scratch. We learn how to manage a lot of work simultaneously and efficiently when we cooperate with KELY staff. We really appreciate having this chance to work with KELY.

WHO WE ARE ❤
EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL
KELY Support Group (KELY) is a Hong Kong-based NGO whose mission since 1991 is to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to support them and to empower them to reach their full potential.
Having the Experiential Learning in KELY is a fruitful and rewarding experience. During our internship, we had experienced the following:
Translation and proofreading. We translated and proofread articles, fact sheets & activities and video subtitles to be used in KELY's blogs, tool kits, and Youth Summit 2020.
Launching a new Chinese language club. We launched a new Chinese teaching session to add value to KELY and start this project from scratch: making flyers, designing forms, contacting students and design course.
Attending online and in-person workshops. We gained knowledge about mental health, stress management and drug prevention. We helped the speaker out in the workshop and also observed the workshop to give feedback.

🤩KELY SCHOOL PICTURE BOOK - FINAL PRODUCT 🤩
Our creative product- A Picture Book
The topics of this mental health picture book align with PYP IB curriculum of "Who we are, How we express ourselves, and How we organize ourselves".
It is also interdisciplinary which encompasses both language and social-emotional learning.
SURVIVAL CHINESE CLUB
Survival Chinese Club
We hope every student can have knowledge of basic ‘survival Chinese’ which can be applied to both daily life or for business purpose. The format of the club is 1-1 as we believe it will help build better rapport with the student, it’s very flexible and tailored for every individual student.

MENTAL HEALTH WORKSHOPS
In person workshops
We have attended two on-site workshops: one in local school about stress management, one in international school about drug prevention.
Online workshops
We have attended three online workshops about mental health for international school students delivered by different speakers from KELY SG.
Stress management Workshop
On Oct 9th, Rosa participated in the Stress Management Workshop at a local school.
It was really impressive to see this number of students and be together with them in this difficult COVID time. It is very important to be with the students and feel their participation.
——Rosa
Drug prevention Workshop
On Oct 19th, Rosa and Sharon participated in the Drug prevention Workshop at an International School.
The workshop is organised, interesting and informative. I think students can learn correct information about drugs and help them to make informed decision in the future.
——Sharon
Online Workshops
From Oct 7th to 9th, Laura, Rosa and Sharon participated in three online workshops with the same topic (mental health) but different speakers for international school students.
The speaker created a relaxing atmosphere by using encouraging words such as great, good job, etc. Her body language and face expression including her beautiful voice and intonation attracted my eyes. It was enjoyable!
