Fun with the Elderly

We worked with St. Luke's Settlement Neighbourhood Elderly Centre to provide service to the elderly in the Kennedy Town community. This valuable experience has enriched our teaching and learning to be a life-long learner, caring and transformative teacher and will keep influencing our teaching career.

By hosting several activities for the elderly, not only had we learned how to design activities and how to get everyone involved and get people inspired through gamification, we were also impressed by the elderly for their the sense of curiosity, healthy mentality and always in pursuit of the excelsior.

Pre-Departure Planning

Planning can be fun. We were asked to present our ideas in a creative way.  Our group used drawings to brainstorm what we can do to help the elderly, then put them up as a short video.

We later on planned and confirmed our timetable after discussing with our supervisor Ms Leung. We have created a wide range of activities for the elders to participate.
