White Plume Moth

I find one of the most satisfying aspects of origami to be making something, usually an insect, arachnid, or sea creature, that has ridiculously thin appendages that look like they shouldn't be possible to achieve by folding a single square of paper without any cutting. When searching the internet for "spindly insects" I found this guy - I loved the unusual leg structure and overall look, so I decided to design one.

Design date: July, 2013

Paper used: A single un-cut square of tissue paper treated with methyl cellulose.
