Torch Ginger

The torch ginger is one of the most striking flowers I have seen, getting its name from the red grapefruit sized flower that sits alone atop a single stalk. Even after all the time that has passed since designing it, I still consider this model to be among the top things I have folded. One of my favorite former students got married and her mother asked me to make something for the wedding, so I decided to refold this Torch Ginger in one of her wedding colors, turquoise.
