Aim: To analyse the role and importance of scripts in developing WA lesson plans and materials; to prepare for the WA live teaching practice in Task 7.5
Time: 20 minutes
In this task, you watch a slideshow about how to prepare a script for a WhatsApp lesson. To hear the presenter, click on the audio icon on each slide. Complete the tasks as they appear. You can use the menu bar below the slideshow to go back and foward between the slides. (Tip: if you are viewing the slideshow on your phone, it's easier to read the slides if you hold the phone horizontally. If you're having problems viewing the slides, you might want to download the pdf and follow the slides from there.)
Note: the slideshow is based on the script for lesson 6.5, the lesson you attended in Module 6. You will be looking at this script again in more detail in the next activity, task 7.5 WhatsApp Live Session.
WhatsApp live lessons move at a very fast pace. To be able to effectively manage a WhatsApp live lesson we need to use a detailed script. The script will include all the task instructions, all the questions and answers, as well as support and feedback. Working with a script like the ones we've seen in this module will help you deliver effective, engaging lessons to our learners.
