Two brake composite carriages numbered F.45 and F.46 were supplied by the Metropolitan Carriage & Wagon Co., of Saltley Works in Birmingham, these were the only two of their kind and featured two first class compartments with double-door luggage compartments at one end with accommodation for the guard, the remaining three compartments being third class.
