Erected by the local firm of Cowell & Corrin, the large stone goods shed was supplied this year, replacing the timber structure which had provided the same role since 1881; an identical shed was also provided at Port St. Mary to the same design and same builders.

The telegraph system throughout the network was superceded by an internal telephone system this year, which remained in place across severn decades until later replaced with radios.
