PEHP offers two ways to assure your loved-ones' well-being in the event of your death or disability. Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Weekly Indemnity Insurance is available to all benefit eligible employees. Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance options offer coverage to both the employee and eligible dependents with options for applying for basic or additional amounts of coverage. Weekly Indemnity only covers the employee. 

my529 is Utah’s official nonprofit 529 educational savings plan. A 529 plan is a tax-advantaged vehicle designed to encourage individuals to invest for future qualified higher education expenses.

There are two options available for Telemedicine. Intermountain Connect Care and University of Utah Healthcare Virtual Visits.

Intermountain Connect Care is now available for all PEHP members on all networks (Not just Advantage members).

University of Utah Healthcare Virtual Visits is available to PEHP members on the Summit and Preferred networks.

Here is how the pricing works:

MetLife Group Legal offers legal representation or advice for a wide range of legal matters such as preparing a will, family law representation, or other unexpected legal matters. You may enroll during the first 60 days of hire or during annual open enrollment. With a MetLife Legal Plan, you can get access to comprehensive legal services at an affordable cost of $21.25/month. No deductible, no claim forms, or usage limits for covered services. 

Note: You may only enroll via telephone. When contacting customer service identify yourself as a State of Utah Employee to ensure accurate information. 

COBRA, The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation ACT, is designed to allow eligible employees and their covered dependents to continue health insurance when employer based coverage is no longer available. 

A State of Utah employee who has lost medical coverage is responsible to contact PEHP within 60 days of a qualifying event. Enrollment information will be sent, by PEHP, to the employee's last known address. 

COBRA is not available if an employee is terminated for "gross misconduct".
