ApplicantPro Training Guides & Video Tutorials

A requisition is commonly the first step in the hiring process. When a hiring manager determines that a new employee needs to be hired, the manager will submit a New Job Requisition form, via ApplicantPro, for approval. The form typically includes the job description and essential job functions and any other necessary information. HR will review the form to verify all necessary information has been provided before being approved. Once approved, the form is used as the basis for creating a job listing and for advertising the open position.

Gone are the days filled with emails requesting a new job posting. ApplicantPro has a built-in job requisition system. This system allows managers to create and submit requisitions using an electronic form. This electronic form will expedite the process from creation to approval and ensures you have the information necessary to post a job opening.

Screening Applicants

Processing applicants is a fundamental function in our applicant tracking system. Essentially, you are moving the applicant through the system and our hiring processing. Typical steps in the process include:

  1. Review applications - Does the applicant meet the minimum qualifications of the position?

  2. Determine which applicants you'd like to interview (e.g. schedule interview, forward applications to hiring panel, etc.)

  3. Communicate with applicants via messages feature in ApplicantPro.

What is an applicant status?

Application statuses are the way you track an applicant's progress through the hiring process. The status is commonly used for filtering and reporting purposes as well. This is an especially convenient feature when you are updating the status for several unqualified or unselected applicants.
