Andrés Ortega Garrido is a junior researcher in Spanish Language at the Department of Foreing Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Bergamo. He got his PhD at the University Complutense of Madrid. His first reaserch interests was the classical tradition on the Contemporary Spanish and Latinoamerican literature (Vanguardia y mundo clásico grecolatino en España, Madrid, Iberoamericana-Vervuert: 2012; Venus vanguardista. El mito del nacimiento de Venus en la literatura española de vanguardia, Madrid, Verbum: 2018; Géneros y tópicos de la literatura grecolatina en la poesía española de vanguardia, Madrid, Verbum: 2021). His current research focuses on linguistics and pragmalinguistics, with particular regard to the journalistic and political language in Spain. He is also interested in rethoric, stylistics and corpus stylistics.
