Title of the project
Valorisation of residual biomass generated by the primary sector for a circular bioeconomy
Aims of the project
The research takes into consideration the residual biomass generated by agricultural and agro-food activities in the Basilicata region with the aim of planning, in an integrated way, the most appropriate forms of valorisation and reuse of these biomass from a technical, economic and environmental point of view in order to significantly reduce the flow of by-products released indiscriminately into the environment. The research activities will be integrated by using a remote monitoring system (IoT - Internet of Things) with the aim of tracking in real time all phases of the process: from the collection of residual biomass to transport and final storage.
