Title of the project: Growth, Physiological and Morpho-Anatomical Attributes of Drought-Tolerance in Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) under the Application of Organic Amendments
Aims of the project
• Assessment of growth and physiological attributes of quinoa subjected to period of severe water stress (complete stop of irrigation) during the vegetative growing cycle in soil treated with organic amendments (biochar and compost) in comparison with untreated soil.
• Evaluation of morpho-physiological attributes, growth and productivity of different quinoa genotypes grown in soil treated with different rate of biochar under water deficit conditions imposed at early growth stages.
• Analysis of anatomy and biochemical attributes of different genotypes of quinoa to understand how they change under water deficit conditions in plants grown on soil treated with organic amendments.
