Title of the project
The perspectives of wood secondary metabolites: characterization and sustainable use
Aims of the project
The PhD thesis is focused on the secondary metabolites from local orchards wood, coming from pruning and trees explant. The secondary metabolites were extracted through different extraction techniques and analyzed from a chemical-biological point, to characterize the molecular compounds present inside. Due this research it possible apply the principle of circular economy in order to use these metabolites in different industrial sectors such as, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agriculture and others, in order to create new eco-sustainable industrial products.
