Walter Fredrick Morrison, the man credited for inventing the Frisbee, was a native of Utah. His inspiration came from tossing tin cake pans back and forth on the beach with his fiancee. Utah claims to have the greatest snow on earth. Because of the state of Utah’s high elevation and desert-like climate, its snow is dry and powdery. The snow density is 8.5% which creates the perfect "body" to float your skis through the powder. On average 1 foot of snows falls every 5 days from December through March in Utah.

Utah has a cooking pot among its state symbols. The Dutch oven was approved as a state symbol by the legislature in 1997. Dutch ovens have been used from mighty mountain men to pioneers settling the land. Chuck wagon cooks used this pot to cook food for cowboys on cattle drives. Today, campers are still using the durable cast iron pot to make biscuits, cornbread, and stews.
