With the majority of us being couch potatoes, we decided to go outside for a walk. We've been exercising at the gym for a while, but nothing could be better than a breath of fresh air! Thus, we met up just in front of the gym. We didn't really plan it out, as we just decided that day to simply go outside for a run. Most of us already knew the route, including me, since I've walked the path behind the gym a couple times before. As I was preparing my bag before I left though, as I always did, I grabbed a water bottle. Then I did a double take, and took a 2nd water bottle in case someone forgot theirs. It was the wise choice, since some of us were particularly not physically fit yet also didn't bring water. What happens when someone who doesn't exercise a lot suddenly sprints for a hundred meters is that they start getting lightheaded... I've experienced this before, and I didn't want it to happen to the people around me who were less wise about that fact. It was a smart choice because after we sprinted a few hundred meters, a certain someone started feeling sick.
Honestly, we met up to go on a run, but we ended up walking for most of the time. It was still nice to go outside and see the beautiful green trees in person.
LO3: I helped initiate the discussion, suggesting the group we should go on a run outside the recreation center. I contacted both our usual gym group, but Haoyang was also invited for fun. I was walkable distance away, so I just went on my own, while the others organized rides. Also, by bringing the water bottle, I also displayed foresight about the trip.
