Realizing how unhealthy my couch potato lifestyle was, I decided to go to the gym. I wanted to become a bit more fit, a bit more healthier, so that I would both feel more comfortable moving around in my body as well as make it harder for me to get sick. I decided to go with a friend of mine, and we began a schedule of going to the gym every Wednesday. When we first made this deal, we had to communicate when we had free time, as well as decided that we'd spend a total of one hour there. After meeting up, we investigated the different activities and machines that the gym offered. Usually, we would do cardio for half an hour, and then work with the weight machines for the other half. Finally, we would walk a lap around the gym's track to cool down. By spending time at the gym with friends, I got to spend valuable time chatting with my friends, as well as began feeling more fit (I went from panting from walking up stairs to slightly breathing ).
LO4: Whenever I decided a set to lift for myself, I had to commit myself to finishing it out, even if it was getting difficult.
