This year, the Allen City finally announced the completion of its Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center, and hosted its opening day on January 15th for people, even without memberships, to have access to the building and be able to explore it.
A: I went to the new Rec Center to be check out its amenities, as well as to get some much-needed exercise myself. To help practice my goal, I biked there, and then went a few rounds on the running machine; it was pretty fun. The main reason why I went there, though, was because my friend informed me that they were serving these beautiful purple cupcakes there.
C: I communicated with my friend when I arrived to meet up with them in the gym, which was quite big. I also had to communicate with my parents and my brother to let them know where I was in the building
T: I did not plan to go out at all on that Monday, but when I heard that the new Rec Center was free for any and all people to sightsee with similarly free cupcakes, I decided that instant to go check it out. But, I already knew what I was going to do; since the location of the Rec Center was very close to my house, I was able to watch it being built up over over four years, and every time I visited it, I knew if I were to go there regularly, it'd be by bike.
I: I did not do a lot of purposeful investigation after I learned that the Rec Center was being opened on that day, since I already had a plan and knew about a lot of this about it beforehand. What was left was just exploring the Rec Center itself. Though, the one issue I ran into was about hiding my bike after I reached the location; without a bike lock, I didn't want to place it in an exposed area where a lot of people might be tempted to steal it. Thus, I hid it away at the back of the Rec Center, behind an SUV.
V: From going to the Rec Center, I was able to check out all the facilities that it offered and I got a lay of its layout in my head. I also got to exercise as I biked there, as well as at the location itself.
E: This very event was created to help artists, writers, or just creators in general of the community to interact with each other for the Christmas spirit, as well as find reason to practice their skills, perhaps getting rid of art block or writers block.
LO1: As a computer-science (prospective) major couch potato, I realized that I needed to exercise. Actually, I already knew of this beforehand, but since this location was so close by to my home, there was a greater calling for me to get up and do some physical activities. I used to swim as an exercise a lot, but this fell off after COVID-19 spread over the world. Thus, I knew a lot about exercise, but didn't do it quite a lot myself, which is something I hoped to improve on after visiting the Recreation Center.
