After school on Wednesdays, my friend, Eileen, and I go to the STEAM center for Computer Science Forum/Club. But, since they ended their meeting a little early, we decided to walk to my home, which was nearby.
A: The aim of this experience was to take some time to get some exercise and touch some grass. Instead of riding one of our (my friend and I's) parents cars, we could take a walk and experience some nature.
C: I communicated with my friend and my parents in order to plan and confirm this activity. I also collaborated with Eileen because she walked home with me.
T: The time for planning was, albeit brief, but sufficient. Our plan to walk home was met with no disruptions.
I: I had already known the way home and had walked the path many times. We had also contacted our parents to let them know of our plan beforehand, so I believe our investigation was sufficient.
V: From this experience, I was able to spend some time walking in nature, which is a rare occurence as a student and couch potato. This experience also allowed me to spend some time with a friend that I see rarely these days, since she's an AP student.
E: I felt very engaged in this experience because we (my friend and I) were actively commenting on the scenery. It was a very in-the-moment experience.
LO3: We planned this CAS Experience swiftly and decisively. I already knew the road home and had considered the cool and breezy weather outside, so I considered walking home instead of going through the trouble of communicating with one of our parents to pick us up. We'd get back home way before the club ended too, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings. I asked my friend if she was willing to walk home early with me, and she agreed. Thus, we texted our parents, and then embarked on a journey to my house.
