I have finally decided to revitalize my Digital Portfolio, which will be sent to various organizations in my applications for either a job, internship, or college entry. This Digital Portfolio will show off my HTML skills as well as discuss the various projects I have partaken in.
A: The aim of this activity is to make my Digital Portfolio look good. The old version of my Digital Portfolio was created with limited knowledge of coding, so I wanted to refurbish and polish it up to that it looks more professional and provides not just a better viewing experience but also to be able to act as a proper portfolio. Thus, this new Digital Portfolio will also contain my projects outside of Computer Science, as well as give an overview of my extracurricular achievements and volunteer activities.
C: A lot of critical thinking and creativity took part in the creation of my Digital Portfolio. Throughout this experience, 20% of the time was utilized learning the methods to how I was going to implement my ideas, 20% of the time was spent implementing the aforementioned ideas, and 60% of my time went towards figuring out what's wrong and how to fix it with my creative and critical thinking skills.
T: I spent a lot of time thinking about my design for my website, including the overall color theme, the layout of the front page, and the navigation. I looked around my friends' as well as professional portfolios for inspiration and guidance.
I: I had to investigate a lot about the different things I was going to use to implement my ideas. While fortunately, I have previous knowledge of coding languages such as Java, which translated decently well into Javascript, I still struggled with the new tools I was going to use, like the 3js package and the things along with transporting Blender animation into website code.
V: Throughout this experience, I learned a lot about implementing 3D objects into websites, as well as the workflow for coding websites like my portfolio. I also began using Visual Studio Code, a popular coding app, migrating from the Linux shell that I learned to use in Computer Science class.
E: I felt very engaged throughout this experience, since I had to do everything and learn everything and understand everything on my own. This included the color scheme, the effects I wanted to use and implement with Javascript, the implementation of 3js and Blender in websites, and formatting websites.
LO2: Before this project, I had very little experience with coding websites, and the little I had came from the first rendition of my Portfolio. But throughout this project, I had to persevere as I learned and debugged and figured out what was wrong and what was causing anything that was going wrong (or going right). Though, it wasn't just issues, but also the researching into techniques in 3js, Blender, and VSC.
