We hope you have had or will have a lovely day!
As we come to the end of another academic year, I want to say thank you to all who helped our children flourish in so many ways. Staff across school have worked so hard with great dedication for each child to be the best they can. This includes mid-day staff, admin staff, teaching assistants, our Maintenance Officer, cleaners and kitchen staff and of course teachers. Each does their part to support each child’s growth and flourishment. Likewise, the governing body has supported myself and the school to strive for the best in all we do. This was recognised in our Ofsted visit recently: The school’s values of love, care and respect are embedded throughout the curriculum and underpin the positive relationships between all in the school.
Thank you also to all our families who support us in a genuine partnership. One function of a Catholic school is to support parents in the education of their children in faith and we thank you for allowing us to share in this privileged role. The development of the child in a Catholic school is not simply about personal faith but in all aspects of their lives – academically, socially, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Thank you for this honour.
A special word of thanks must go to our PFA who work tirelessly for our children. Their events raise crucial funds that support our work and this year have included events such as the Santa dash, the colour run and the summer fair.
To all those leaving us this year, especially our Year 6 children, thank you and may the Lord bless you as you go on your new adventures.
Staff would like to say thank you for the kind words and gifts you have made. Enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 3 September for the new academic year.
We would like to congratulate Abigail Barlow, one of our ex-pupils, who has recently impressed audiences at Penketh High with recent performances from her own Dance Academy. She has also secured bookings at the Brindley Theatre for 2026, 2027 and 2028. Her academy offers a variety of classes, including ballet, tap, modern, and musical theatre, and has its own studio in Penketh.
We are very proud of her achievements.

Food allergies
Please be reminded that some of our children suffer with severe allergic reactions to peanuts, nuts, lentils and peas. If an anaphylactic reaction occurs we are trained to immediately use Jext pens of Epipens and call 999.
Please do not use Nivea suncream as it has almond oil in it and we have children with severe nut allergies.
Please do not send any items containing the above into school for your child’s lunch or snack. This includes spreads like Nutella as it has hazelnut as an ingredient.
Thank you for your support, as always.
