Friday 17th October 2023 - Issue 6
At St Joseph's this Lent, we are standing in solidarity with our global brothers and sisters by taking part in CAFOD's Big Lent Walk. We are aiming to collectively walk 750km throughout Lent. We will be taking part in walks throughout the week at school to add to our total - some children and staff started their walks today!
Also, you can take part and add some kilometres to our Big Lent Walk total as a family. Please let the school office know where you walked and how far you walked as a family, and feel free to send in any pictures. Also, please share any walks you do outside of school to our social media platforms - we'd love to see how you get on.
You can make a donation directly to CAFOD on our school's Just Giving page. If each child is sponsored £1, we'd raise over £200 for CAFOD.
Find more information by clicking here. As always, thank you for your generosity.

Many thanks.
We currently have a couple of mid-day assistant vacancies available in school. If it is something you are interested in or you know of someone who may be for an 1 hr and 15 minutes a day, please can you call into school to collect an application form or contact Miss Rose on:
stjoseph_finance@sch.warrington.gov.uk about the vacancy.

At St Joseph’s we communicate with parents normally through ParentApps and the weekly newsletter and at times we will send a hard copy of a letter home. We are aware that parents have set up their own WhatsApp groups and share information and thoughts through this medium. We do not communicate via WhatsApp so I would ask parents when enquiring about school events to refer to the official sources for clarity and not via WhatsApp as there have been occasions when confusion has occurred through this app.
Please be reminded that some of our children suffer with severe allergic reactions to peanuts, nuts, lentils and peas. If an anaphylactic reaction occurs we are trained to immediately use Jext pens of Epipens and call 999. Please do not use Nivea suncream as it has almond oil in it and we have children with severe nut allergies. Please do not send any items containing the above into school for your child’s lunch or snack.
Thank you for your support, as always.
Please be mindful when parking outside the school that you do not block resident driveways. We have had several polite requests to pass on.
You will have received a letter informing you of the offer of a flu vaccination for you child. This will take place on Wednesday 22nd November in school. Please see the letter for more information and how to book.
