Warrington Guardian Education Awards
The Warrington Guardian Education Awards are back for another year and promise to be the best yet! 13 awards will celebrate schools, nurseries and colleges across the town, honouring pupils and students, teachers and teaching assistants, and classes and teams. They want to highlight everything that’s good about Warrington’s educators, shining a spotlight on innovation and best practice across the town. Who should win one of our 13 awards?
There is a pupil of the year for primary and secondary, class or team of the year and headteacher of the year as well as awards for teachers and teaching assistants. There will also be an outstanding achievement award, an unsung hero honour and an innovation award.
Entries are invited from teachers, parents, governors, pupils and anyone with knowledge of a particular school or education establishment. All schools are welcome to enter as long as they are based in the borough. Individuals or institutions can enter more than one category, but this should be made clear on the entry form.
Make your nominations here using this link:

We welcome nominations from and for your school, your staff, parents and carers, and pupils.
Below is a QR code which will direct people straight to the nomination form. These awards will be launched in this week's Warrington Guardian and on our website but nominations were open from Monday. The closing date for entries is Sunday, June 16.
School Dinners
Please note the new menus for school dinners. As you will see the choice is somewhat limited. Unfortunately, the local authority’s school meals department needs to limit their offer due to financial and resourcing restraints.
PE Days are as follows:
Monday: Y3 KS, Y4 KD, Y6 MR and Y6 RT
Tuesday: Y2 CF/KR, Y3/4 NM and Y5 MW
Wednesday: Y1 AH, Y2 CF/KR, Y3/4 NM amd Y6 MR
Thursday: Y3 KS (Swimming), Y4 KD, Y5 MW and Y6 RT
Friday: EYFS and Y1 AH
Please be reminded cars cannot stop to drop off children on the zig-zag lines outside the school gates. Neither should we park or stop across people's driveways.
It is illegal and also inconsiderate. One of our neighbours last week was delayed leaving home for an important hospital appointment. Also, a car was stopped on the corner of Larch Avenue, which is extremely hazardous for other road users and pedestrians.
Thank for your support.
