Friday 8th March 2024 - Issue 24
Happy birthday to all the children and staff who have had or who will be celebrating their birthdays this week.
Elodie Hughes, Rock Man Lui, Beth Robinson, Mika Chan, Primrose Brown and Robyn Gilmore
We hope you have had or will have a lovely day!
At St Joseph's this Lent, we are standing in solidarity with our global brothers and sisters by taking part in CAFOD's Big Lent Walk. We are aiming to collectively walk 750km throughout Lent. We will be taking part in walks throughout the week at school to add to our total - some children and staff started their walks today!
Also, you can take part and add some kilometres to our Big Lent Walk total as a family. Please email photos@stjprimary.co.uk telling us where you walked and how far you walked as a family, and feel free to send in any pictures. Also, please share any walks you do outside of school to our social media platforms - we'd love to see how you get on.
You can make a donation directly to CAFOD on our school's Just Giving page. If each child is sponsored £1, we'd raise over £200 for CAFOD.
So far, our children, families and staff have walked over 300km!! Great work everyone.
Find more information by clicking here. As always, thank you for your generosity.
Huge well done to Nathan and Sophia and their family, who walked around Lymm Dam last weekend walking 4.81km. Thank you for adding to our total!

It’s that time of the year when we want to review how we are doing in school. It would help immensely if you followed the link below to register as a parent and share your views. We would appreciate your time given to this fairly brief but useful task. Presently, only 12 people have responded. Thanks to them but we need more to give us a clear picture of how parents perceive our practice.

Our Reception Class Assembly will be on Wednesday, 20th March at 9.05am in school.
Please join us. We will love to see you.
Well done to our Year 2 children who participated in our Mothers' Day assembly this morning and to Mrs Ford and Mrs Robbins for organising this.
A prayer from the Holy Father for peace in the Holy Land
“Let us pray with one heart and one soul – Lord come to our aid, grant us peace, teach us peace, guide our steps in the way of peace.
Open our eyes and our hearts and give us the courage to say: Never again war.’ Lord Hear Us.”
“May the weapons be stopped: they will never lead to peace, and may the conflict not widen! Enough! Enough, brothers! In Gaza, let the wounded be rescued immediately, let civilians be protected, let far more humanitarian aid be allowed to reach that stricken population. May the hostages be freed, including the elderly and children. Every human being, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, of any people or religion, every human being is sacred, is precious in the eyes of God and has the right to live in peace. Let us not lose hope: let us pray and work tirelessly so that the sense of humanity may prevail over hardness of heart.”
In Jesus’ name. Amen
Please be reminded cars cannot stop to drop off children on the zig-zag lines outside the school gates. Neither should we park or stop across people's driveways.
It is illegal and also inconsiderate. One of our neighbours last week was delayed leaving home for an important hospital appointment. Also, a car was stopped on the corner of Larch Avenue, which is extremely hazardous for other road users and pedestrians.
Thank for your support.
