Christmas Blessings
As we come to the end of this long term and we continue to wait for the Ofsted call, I write to say thanks to all of you for your support this year. It is a privilege to be part of your child’s flourishment and each adult in school tries hard to help that growth each day. Thank you for your kind words and gifts and for your understanding as we try to nurture all that is true, all that is good and all that is beautiful. For the times we haven’t got it right, we ask forgiveness and for the times we have got it right, thank God.
Thank you to all those who worked so hard for the Nativity plays this week. As always, the shows were fantastic. Thanks to the teaching and support staff, PFA, parents and of course, the children. Well done!
From me, thank you to all our staff for their dedication and pride in being part of this school family. From all the staff at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, thank you parents and families, governors and those in the Archdiocese and local authority. Most of all, thank you children.
May the Lord bless each one of you with His joy may you all have a peace-filled Christmas and new year.
God bless,
Alan Saunders
Food Bank
Thank you so much for your generosity this year with St Joseph’s Family Centre food bank. It’s wrong that they are necessary in our country but while they are, it is right that we support each other. Likewise, it is so important for our children to participate in serving each other and those around them. “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me’” (Matthew 25:40).
A special thanks to year 2 who made a Reverse Advent Calendar hamper. Instead of daily taking something from an Advent calendar, they donated goods for the food bank.
PFA
A massive thank you to the PFA for all the hard work they do for the school and the events that they organise to make our children happy!
Food allergies
Please be reminded that some of our children suffer with severe allergic reactions to peanuts, nuts, lentils and peas. If an anaphylactic reaction occurs we are trained to immediately use Jext pens or Epipens and call 999.
Please do not use Nivea suncream as it has almond oil in it and we have children with severe nut allergies.
Please do not send any items containing the above into school for your child’s lunch or snack. This includes spreads like Nutella as it has hazelnut as an ingredient.
Thank you for your support, as always.
