Department Administrator/Business Manager submits the following to the SLU Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (andy.griesenauer@health.slu.edu):
Cover Form (Effective date of promotion will be the 1st of the month after the promotion is approved by the Provost)
Current CV
Copy of Board Certification
The OFAPD prepares and sends Board Certification Promotion documentation to the Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure Committee for review at their monthly meeting. The Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee reviews the documentation and makes a recommendation to the School of Medicine Dean.
The SOM Dean reviews the requested promotion and makes a recommendation to the Provost.
The Provost approves/denies the requested promotion.
The University's Office of Faculty Affairs prepares a letter confirming the Provost's decision and this letter is sent via Workday to the faculty member for approval.
Once approved by the faculty member, the OFAPD forwards this letter to the department chair and business manager.
The University's Office of Faculty Affairs makes the required rank update in Workday.
