Community Physicians are members of the local health care community who volunteer to oversee SOM learners (medical students and residents) in a clinical clerkship capacity. Community Physicians receive no compensation from SLU's payroll system, yet are assigned SLU ID and usernames which provide access to our library resources & permission to claim an affiliation with SLU with a faculty title - "Adjunct Assistant Professor". Community Physicians are appointed for a term of 3 years.
