Beulah
Ferret Beulah was named by the family who brought her to us in 2004.
They had rescued the ferret the day following a horrendous thunderstorm.
They found her between two driveways, totally soaked, dirty, and very
thin.
They bought a cage and decided to get her well before finding her a home.
This sanctuary believes they would have been the perfect forever home---
but the people insisted their house was too small and they didn`t have
enough time for her. The dad in the family worked with a friend of ours.
(The one who surrendered Robin and Marian to us.) She told him how
happy she was with the care we gave hers and convinced them to bring
Beulah here. They can visit her any time now.
Beulah was young. Maybe two years old. A beautiful silver mitt. Very
playful.
It seems odd to have one without some kind of health problem---and kind
of refreshing for a change.
So many come to us with issues...

UPDATE: January 2010
Beulah has been with us for about 5 1/2 years now!
Our little girl is nearly all white at this point, and is approximately eight
years old. (Where did the time go?)
She is in decent health still, and has a plush, soft winter coat. She gives
the best kisses!!

UPDATE: December 6, 2011
We lost our precious Beulah today. She had developed a tumor behind her eye, but still was feeling good. As of this morning, it was creating too much pressure, and we had to let her go. Beulah had surgery, several months ago, to remove a growth on her paw. She recovered well from that one, but then developed the one behind the eye. It was in a bad place :(
Beulah was about nine years old, and one of the sweetest ferrets ever. She never caused a moment`s trouble with anyone. She will be so missed...
