We Tow U
We Tow U is a Queensland based towing company that tows cars away from shopping centre car parks in Brisbane and Queensland for alleged breach of contract. The use "spotters" who sit in a car in a car parking waiting for drivers to park their car. If the person exceeds the time limit, or leaves the area without using the shops the car park services, employees of WeTowU will tow the car away and charge $400 to return it to the owner. The company is managed by Graham Douglas and owned by Fred Harvey.

Isabella Jones and Alexandra Carter, were having dinner at a Brunswick shopping complex in Fortitude Valley when their cars were towed by We Tow U staff. The tow truck drivers claiming to have photographed the pair leaving the premises after parking. But the two truck company was forced to give refunds after Isabella's father examined the photos and found the photos were of someone else. The refund cheque they received was signed Fred Harvey. In article in the Brisbane Times said the the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland had cancelled its contract with WeTowU because of the alleged predatory behaviour. Another media report Fred Harvey, whose companies including We Tow U have received millions of taxpayers' dollars through police contracts, has been pursued by the taxman for almost $1 million in debts.
Towie Greg Maher had his own tow truck seized by We Tow U when he parked his car at the Brown Plains shopping centre and unkowingly walked across an unmarked property boundary. He said that the RACQ quoted $100 for a tow to the We Tow U Acadia Ridge holding yard, when WeTowU are charging $400 for the same job.
