Most people want to customize the look of their comic's webpage. A small but simple step towards doing so is to upload new navigation buttons (first, previous, next, last)... this way you can change what they say, how they look, etc. to better match your comic.
First of all, you'll need to create the images using image editing software. Paint.NET and Gimp are both free and have lots of help available on the web.
Second of all, you'll need to upload your new buttons to your Image Locker. (Click that link for instructions)
Now you're ready to put them into your page!
Click on the title of the comic you want to edit- NOT the "edit" link:
Now you're on your comic's webpage. Click on the "activate layout mode" link in the header bar:
The page will reload with some changes. What you want is the "edit navigation" button, next to your comic's navbar:
Click on that and you'll see this pop up:
Now paste in the URLs for the images you want, which you can get from the Image Locker:
The page MAY try to display your changes to the nav buttons in real time, but don't worry if it doesn't. If you click SAVE then it should display the new buttons next time you reload your comic page (you may have to deactivate the layout mode first):
Some notes:
You can use .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .png which means you should be able to do transparent or animated buttons
Nav buttons don't have to be the same size as the default, you can make them new sizes if you like
If you want to return to the default nav images, you can delete the URLs in that control box
