Paula Valentine is a technical communications and training specialist consultant. With over 20 years experience in documentation and training development, she specializes in implementing online help systems, editorial standards, and training materials that meets client needs. In addition, she has trained internal and external users on client applications.
As an active member of the STC NY Metro chapter, Paula has held a number of chapter positions over the years, including recording secretary, first Vice-President, and President. As Chapter Programs Committee chair, she plans to work with her team to provide interesting topics and speakers for the STC NY Metro chapter meetings and workshops.

Ellen Buttolph is a technical communications and content strategy consultant. With over 16 years experience in documentation and content strategy, she specializes in implementing consistent processes, editorial standards and strategic plans to provide content that meets customer needs. She brings a background in art history and marketing to the mix, blending her interests in content, presentation and customer communication. As an active member of the STC NY Metro chapter, she held a number of chapter positions over the years, including competitions manager, newsletter editor, program manager, and web site redesign committee member. As Social Media and Marketing chair, she plans to get the word out on the benefits of being part of STC and the NY Metro chapter and keep the conversation going with our members.

Malu Schloss is a Relationship Manager for TrainingPros, advises and collaborates with organizations as a learning and technical communications consultant, specializing in instructional and content strategy, design, development and delivery of custom elearning, performance support and documentation solutions. Sample engagements include: SuccessFactors (SAP), Bank of America Global Wealth Management, US Trust, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, Marsh, Inc. Thomson Reuters/Lipper and Fordham University. Previously, she was Training/CBT Manager at Dreyfus Corporation and HR Training Director at Rizal Bank (RCBC) in Makati, Philippines, member of the Yuchengco Global Group.
Malu is Regional Chair of the Greater NY and Philadelphia Competition (2012-2013), immediate past president of STCNY. Before that she served as the Membership Committee chair and First Vice President of the chapter. Her other professional affiliations include: the American Society for Training and Development NY Metro (ASTDNY), Society for Information Management, NY Metro (SIMNY), SIM Women, the eLearning Guild, Content Strategy Meet-Up and the NYC User Experience Professionals Association.

Karen Levine is a technical publications manager, localization manager and technical writer. She has more than 25 years of experience in the defense and medical device industries, specializing in user and service documentation. Karen is a senior member of STC and is a member of both, the NY and Philadelphia Metro chapters, as well as, the International SIG.
She is a regular speaker at the international SIG’s progression sessions during the STC international conferences. She is currently the Technical Publications Manager for Neonatal Care products at Draeger Medical Systems, Inc. in Telford, Pennsylvania.
Karen Levine, Competitions Entries Manager
Carolyn Reynolds is a technical writer and information designer. She has more than 20 years experience in the field of documentation design and creation specializing in online deliverables that enhance the user experience of hardware and software products. She currently documents the interface for clinical analyzer immunoassay systems. She has worked in the areas of computer software, artificial intelligence, and medical equipment.New to the New York Metro chapter, Carolyn has recently attended STC NY Metro meetings and workshops as well as the Annual STC Convention in Sacramento, CA. She was an active member of the Boston chapter of the STC for more than 7 years, during which time she participated as a judge for a variety of categories of technical documentation. She, herself, is a winner of both Distinguished and Excellence awards.

Rapid Elearning Development SIG
Carol Ansorge has been in the learning and technical writing fields for nearly 20 years. She works as a senior Project Manager/instructional designer for Computer Generated Solutions (GGS), a professional services company headquartered in NYC, developing and delivering learning and technical content in multiple modes: elearning, online Help, live or virtual instructor-led training, and references. Prior to that, Carol was a training manager and facilitator at a large media company, and an instructional designer/technical writer/facilitator for consulting and financial services companies. A believer in continuous learning, Carol has attended local STC chapter meetings led by many technical and thought leaders over the years as a way of keeping abreast of developing trends and approaches. She started this Rapid eLearning Development SIG last year as a way to share and grow from peers and experts. What started as a focus on using Adobe Captivate as a low-cost, flexible rapid elearning tool has expanded to include other promising tools and techniques in that class.

Ed Marsh is a seasoned technical writer specializing in the visual side of technical communication: CSS, design and eLearning. He is passionate about technology and the Web; he is a founding member of the Northern NJ Drupal content management (CMS) group. Ed is also a former high school marching band director, and a homebrewer of beer.
