06. How to make the system able to record chinese words?

Windows XP

1. Go to Control Panel, double click on Regional and Language Options.

2. Click on the Languages tab.

3. To ensure supplemental language support is tick with "Install files for East Asian languages".

4. Insert the Windows XP DVD and start installing drivers.

5. Click on the Advanced tab.

6. Select a language to match the language verson of the non-Unicode programs you want to use:

Chinese (PRC) - Chinese Simplified; OR

Chinese (Taiwan) - Chinese Tranditional

7. Restart the PC.

Windows Vista

1. Go to Control Panel, double click on Regional and Language Options.

2. Click on the Administrative tab.

3. Click on the Change system locale.

6. Select current system locale to :

Chinese (PRC) - Chinese Simplified; OR

Chinese (Taiwan) - Chinese Tranditional

7. Restart the PC.

Windows 7

1. Go to Control Panel, double click on Regional and Language.

2. Click on the Administrative tab.

3. Click on the Change system locale.

6. Select current system locale to :

Chinese (PRC) - Chinese Simplified; OR

Chinese (Taiwan) - Chinese Tranditional

7. Restart the PC.

Windows 8

1. Go to Control Panel, double click on Region.

2. Click on the Administrative tab.

3. Click on the Change system locale.

6. Select current system locale to :

Chinese (Simplified, Singapore) - Chinese Simplified; OR

Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) - Chinese Tranditional

7. Restart the PC.
