02. Where to create the exception port number in Windows Firewall?

Windows XP

1. Start | Control Panel | Windows Firewall

2. Click on the Exception tab.

3. Click on Add Port...

4. Name: SQL and Port number: 3050

Windows Vista / Windows 7

1. Control Panel | Windows Firewall

2. Click Advanced Settings.

3. Click on Inbound Rules.

4. Create New Rules (right side Actions bar)

5. Tick Port, click NEXT.

6. Select TCP and key-in the Specific local ports: 3050. Click NEXT.

7. Allow the connection and click NEXT.

8. Tick all Domain, Private & Public and click NEXT.

9. Name: SQL and click Finish.
