4.08 Application Installation

Before you install please set your system regional date format to dd/MM/yyyy.

1. Install Firebird Database Server 1.5 at Server PC (For FOR MULTIPLE USERS ONLY)

(you can locate the Firebird 15 Database Server in CD under the DBServer\Firebird15 Folder).

2. Run the Setup.exe application under the SQL.Payroll Folder.

3. Follow the instruction.

4. If the Server PC had the Firewall, make sure you had add the Exception for Port No 3050 for TCP/IP.

INSTALLING FOR SINGLE USER

01. Once you finish install the SQL Payroll, Double click the SQL Payroll icon at the desktop.

02. System will ask for the Database Group.

03. Click New Database.

04. System will ask Filename for New Database Group File.

05. Click Save.

06. System will ask Filename for Database Engine.

07. Click Ok.

08. Click Ok to Create Sample Database.

09. Click Ok when ask for Enter Database Name.

10. Select Firebird 1.5.6.5026 & Click Ok.

11. Login to the system (User Name: ADMIN, Password: ADMIN).

INSTALLING FOR MULTIPLE USERS

At The Server PC

1. Follow the INSTALLING FOR SINGLE USER.

2. Double Click My Computer and browse it to eStream\SQL Payroll\Share folder and

share it as Full Control (i.e. able to Read and Write).

3. When asking for User Name and Password, Click 3 Dot Button.

4. Select Back To Database Group.

5. Right Click the Firebird Icon & Select Properties.

6. Database Engine Select Firebird Server.

7. Click the Test... button to check the status is Success.

If the Status font color is Red mean it that you had enter incorrect information.

8. Click OK and Double click the icon to exit until asking for User Name and Password.

9. Login to the system (User Name: ADMIN, Password: ADMIN).

At the Workstation

1. Follow the INSTALLING FOR SINGLE USER except the Step 3 select Add Group.

2. In the Look in Field browse it to the Entire Network (Network Neighborhood) and look for your Server PC Name.

4. In the Server PC folder, double click the Share | Default.dcf File.
