8.1 "Error while trying to login to Firebird server....Failed to establish a connection using McAfee Anti-Virus!
Below the common message will be prompted when the Windows Firewall has turn-ON or controlled others anti-virus application.
For example, McAfee has taken over the Windows Firewall entirely. See below screenshot.
A. Below error message when you have test over the Firebird 1.5 server connection by click on Test Connection at client PC.
B. Another error message when you have try to login the database at client PC.
SOLUTION:
1. Go to McAfee AntiVirus application. You will see similar screenshot below. Click on Firewall followed by Settings (right).
2. Click on Ports and System Services.
3. Click Add button.
4. Input "SQL" into System Service Name field.
5. Important part, both must be set as below.
Local TCP/IP Ports = 3050
Open ports to : All PCs
6. You will see the port name added in the list.
