What might have triggered the error message?
- You are trying to map a drive?
- You are trying to access a shared folder over a network that you set up correctly?
- You are trying to share files/ drives between a Windows 7 machine and a Windows XP machine
- You are trying to print over a network, where the printer driver resides on another machine on that network.
Solution
01. Close all the Application.
02. Click on Windows Start | Run.
03. Type a command "REGEDIT", press OK.
04. Under the Registry Editor, you need to expand the directory like below.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters
05. Right click on the right panel select New | DWORD & Name it "IRPStackSize".
06. Double Click the DWORD just created & enter
Value Data = 50 (Max Value)
Base = Decimal
07. Click OK
08. Close the Registry Editor to exit
09. Reboot/Restart the PC
