In 1911 Kennington-born George Busher was living at 24 Stannary Street, Kennington with his widowed mother, Annie Busher, 46, from Old Ford, east London, and three of his five siblings. The Medal Roll for George Robert Busher states that he went to France on 9 March 1915. He survived just under two months.
