Muometric positioning system (μPS) with cosmic muons as a new underwater and underground positioning technique.

Thus far, underwater and underground positioning techniques have been limited to those using classical waves (sound waves, electromagnetic waves or their combination). However, the positioning accuracy is strongly affected by the conditions of media they propagate (temperature, salinity, density, elastic constants, opacity, etc.). In this work, we developed a precise and entirely new three-dimensional positioning technique with cosmic muons. This muonic technique is totally unaffected by the media condition and can be universally implemented anywhere on the globe without a signal transmitter. Results of our laboratory-based experiments and simulations showed that, for example, plate-tectonics-driven seafloor motion and magma-driven seamount deformation can be detected with the μPS.

Cosmic ray astronomy looks at cosmic ray particles.

In September 2009 the extended period of minimum activity from the Sun resulted in more cosmic rays entering our solar system than has ever been recorded over the last 50 years.

This graph shows the increasing amount of Cosmic Ray particles in Blue.

A Red line shows the highest number of Cosmic Ray particles previously recorded.

Cosmic Rays were 19% higher in September 2009 than in the past 50 years when man has been travelling in space.

The sun is at an extended period of solar minimum and this has allowed more Cosmic Ray particles from outside our solar system to reach the Earth.

Normally the suns activity (solar wind) blocks many Cosmic Ray particles from outside our solar system from reaching the Earth.

Cosmic Rays are dangerous to humans and spacecraft must be shielded to protect human space travelers.

How to build a radio station in Somalia.

How to build a radio station antenna in Somalia.

The completed antenna mounted on a rotator in Galkayo, North East Somalia.

The Antenna built in Somalia from a kit at Radio Free Somalia (“Free for all to use” known later as Radio Galkayo) was mounted on a rotator that allows the antenna to turn in any direction for maximum transmission or reception towards the chosen direction.

This directional antenna at the Galkayo Police station, Galkayo, North East Somalia is like having a ten times increase in transmitter power and receiver power and no increase in electricity consumption.

North East Somalia became the Puntland State of Somalia on the 1st August 1998.
