Computer software called eQSO can link UHF CB radios to the Internet. If a CB radio– Internet–CB radio “gateway” is in your area then you might be able to use a walkie talkie CB radio or a mobile CB radio to talk to other CB radio walkie talkie and mobile CB radio stations around the world. Similar systems are also operating on Amateur Radio called Ham radio–Internet–Ham radio gateways.

Look at the diagram at the bottom of this website to see how eQSO works.

New Zealand.

UHF Personal Radio Service Radio (PRS Radio).

The hobby of listening to low power two way radios.

UHF CB Radio in New Zealand is called PRS Radio.

CB radio licenses (HF 26 MHz AM and SSB) or Personal Radio Service licenses (UHF 476 MHz to 477 MHz FM) are no longer required under the New Zealand general user radio license. This is like the Australian class radio license that allows any person to use CB radios without the need to apply for a license. A license is required to establish a CB repeater station. No license is needed to talk through a CB repeater station.

How to make a radio station in Somalia.

How to make a short wave radio station antenna in Somalia.

Lifting and balancing the antenna in Galkayo, North East Somalia.

In August 1994 ropes from the top of the 30 meter (30 metre) tower lift and from the ground ropes balance the 12 element Log periodic short wave radio antenna at Radio Free Somalia (“Free for all to use” later known as Radio Galkayo) at the Galkayo Police station, Galkayo, North East Somalia.

North East Somalia became the Puntland State of Somalia on the 1st August 1998.
