How to Buy & Connect Domain Name to your Google Site
Step1 : Go to www.godaddy.in
Step 2: Search for your desired Domain Name
Step3: Select the desired Domain Name
Step 4: Pay for the desired domain name, you may be asked to create an account if you already don't have one. Go through the various steps to register and purchase the domain.
Step5: Once you have purchased your domain name, go to home page of www.godaddy.in, login with your account. Click on your login name to see the Quick Links.
Step6: Click on "Manage My Domains"
Step 7:Click on the domain name you wish to apply to your website.
Step 8:Next to the Forwarding tab click on "Manage"
Step 9: Copy the website url from your google site home page and paste next to https:// tab. Put remaining settings as shown below. Please choose https & now http as Google Site uses https. Also there is an option in Forward settings:
- Forward Only (this will show the website url as https://sites.google.com/site/......
- Forward with Masking (this will show the website url as www.yourdomainname.com
Step 10: Click on save to save your settings. It may take upto an hour for the settings to take effect.
