Access your files offline
You can view and edit Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides files when you’re not connected to the Internet. Watch the video below to see how.
In the video above, we show you how to view and edit your files offline in Google Drive and in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
Here are some important things to know when you're offline:
Use the Chrome browser or a Chrome device. You can’t work offline with other browsers.
More than one person can use Drive offline on the same computer, but each person will need to log in with a different Chrome profile.
Turn offline access on and off
You can turn offline access on or off from your settings in Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
ComputerYou can turn on offline access for your entire Google Drive, but not specific files. Offline access is only available in the Google Chromebrowser.
Open your Google Drive files offline
Open Chrome. Make sure you're signed in to Chrome.
Check the box next to "Sync Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Drawings files to this computer so that you can edit offline."

Android
Turn offline access on or off
Open the Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides app.
Next to the file, tap More
.
To save a file offline, tap Available offline
.
To end offline access, complete the same steps.
Find files you saved for offline access
Open the Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides app.
Tap Menu
> Offline.
iOS
Turn offline access on or off
Open the Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides app.
Next to the file, tap More
.
In Google Drive: Tap Available offline.
In Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides: Tap Download & keep in sync.
Find files you saved for offline access
Open the Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides app.
Tap Menu
> Offline.
