Using 2 Factor Authentication to prevent hacking of your account

Use 2-step authentication which adds an extra layer of security to your email account. In addition to your username and password, you will have to enter a code that will be sent you via sms or a mobile application that you will be asked to installed on your phone.

Whenever you use email on a new computer you will be asked to enter the code from your mobile application. This way even if a hacker cracks your password, he still can’t access your account as he cannot get the authentication code.

To enable the same for gmail account please visit www.google.com/2step and use this great way to safeguard your gmail account.
