హార్వే విలియం కుషింగ్ అమెరికా నూరో సర్జన్ ... బ్రెయిన్ ఆపరేషన్ లో గొప్ప పేరున్నవాడు . కొన్నివిషయాలలో "father of modern neurosurgery" అని చెప్పవచ్చును ... పిలువబడేవారు .

జీవిత చరిత్ర :

08 ఏప్రిల్ 1869 తేదీన అమెరికాలోని క్లీవ్ ల్యాండ్ - ఒహిఒ లో ... బెస్సీ విలియం & కిర్కే కుషింగ్ లకు ౧౦ వ సంతానం గా జన్మించారు . 1891 లో A .B డిగ్రీ ఏల్ యునివర్సిటీ నుండి చదివిన తరువాత ౧౮౯౫ లో వైద్యం లో యం.డి. చదివేడు . మస్సాచుట్స్ జనరల్ హాస్పిటల్ లో ఇంటర్నిశిప్ చేశారు . సర్జరీ లో ' విల్లియం స్తేవార్ట్ హాల్స్తేడ్ (William Stewart Halsted, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore.) కింద residency చేశారు . సర్జన్ గా అన్ని మెళకువలు తెలుసు కున్నారు . తరువాత సుర్జేరీ లో ప్రొఫెసర్ గా(professor of surgery at the Harvard Medical School.) 1933 నుండి చనిపోయే వరకు పనిచేశారు .

చనిపోయిన తేది --- October 7, 1939 (aged 70) New Haven, Connecticut, United States . గుండె పోటు తో చనిపోయారు .

భార్య : కాతరిన్ స్టోన్ క్రోవేల్ ౧౦ జూన్ ౧౯౦౨ లో పెళ్ళిచేసుకున్నారు .

• * He considerably improved the survival of patients after difficult brain operations for intracranial tumors.
