BCC & the Green

Tree surgeons were working in the Green on Friday 24 March '23. As well as felling a dead cherry tree in the woodland behind Coldharbour Road, they were removing dead wood from trees around the Green.

Some people's waste is for others a gift: it took only two days for this huge pile of wood chippings from trees that were felled in the Green and locally to be transferred to plots (mostly used on paths, but also used as mulch under, for e.g. currant bushes) around Metford Road allotments. Good also for the tree surgeons to have a local disposal point!
