Below are some of our main, long term initiatives. Activities on each take place throughout the year.

One-off events

Winter of 2022/23

RGCG members were busy through the winter - when the weather permitted! 

Activities have included bulb planting, clearing the bramble patch running behind Cossins Road and replacing it with an orchard; meadow maintenance, surveying and cleaning the Green's 20 bird nesting boxes, and planting more trees. 

Several comprehensive litter picks have been undertaken. New entrants into the "top ten" types of rubbish - joining plastic wrappers from sweets and crisps, plastic bottles and drinks cans - disposable vapes and partly-used cans of spray paint added lurid colour (and some very strange flavours in the former case) to ground level vegetation, particularly in the woodland nearest to Coldharbour Road and in the Dell. As fast as we clean, new rubbish continues to appear!
