During lockdown, the Lord Mayor, Liberal Democrat councillor Jos Clark, paid a quiet and socially distanced visit in full regalia to Redland Green to launch our great new tree trail app.
The trail, which starts at Redland Road, is just under a mile (or 1200 metres) long and takes in 20 different tree species, including the Green's veteran ash trees, and the less well known tulip tree. The App was authored by RGCG chair, Emily Smithson, seen here at the foot of one of the Green's ancient ash trees with the Lord Mayor.
Having done the trail, the Lord Mayor concluded with a rest on our wonderfully carved silver maple 'throne' near to the entrance to the tennis courts.
Bishopston Voice made a front page feature of the visit in their July issue.
