Sadly, not everyone who uses Redland Green takes their rubbish home, or even puts it into a litter bin.......
This picture shows litter in the Dell in April 2010, our first communal litter pick - mainly drink cans and sweet wrappers. As well as being unsightly, these can be hazardous to wildlife.
An enthusiastic litter-picking team managed to fill several bags with rubbish from here.
Another sweep of the Green was carried out in March 2012, and generated a large number of bags of rubbish - mostly sweet wrappers and fizzy drinks cans.
The cans and plastic bottles were bagged for the Council's kerbside recycling.
These litter picks are (circdumstances permitting) an annual event, generally taking place to fit with the Great British Spring Clean, and advertised on our site here, with contact details, should you wish to help out.
