It has been suggested that this Thomas Pomeroy, living in St Erney, Cornwall, is the son of Thomas Pomeroy, 1550-1610, of Ingsdon.
However, a burial record for Thomas Pomeroy, 1662, Islington, son of Thomas, of Ilstington, (1550-1610) speaks against that suggestion.
It has also been suggested that Thomas Pomeroy, of St Erney, is the son of Thomas Pomeroy of Cornworthy, grandson of Henry Pomeroy and Agnes (Anne) Huckmore of Bowden in Totnes. At this point, given the burial record for Thomas Pomeroy 1662, Islington, the question of the origin of Thomas Pomeroy of St Erney is answered to my satisfaction, especially since we have found connections that the Bowden Pomeroys had to merchants in Totnes and Dartmouth.
