Donald Schon - Reflection-on-action
There were instances where we organised post-exam activities for the students. Some examples of the activities included, pizza making and movie screening. For the movie screening, we showed the movie to the student. After screening the movie, there was a Q & A, where we would ask simple questions to the students about the movie. Upon a correct answer, the student would be gifted with snacks. At the end of the movie screening, all the students are gifted with chocolates.
During the movie screening, there were students that was not very enthusiastic about it. Eventually, those students just sat at the corner of the classroom and did not participate in the activity. I did try to persuade the student to participate in the activity, however it was not very successful. I felt that I should have spoken to the student individually to understand the cause of the problem as to why he did not want to participate in the activity. It could have been because of something that happened in school or at home, which resulted in him being unenthusiastic about the activity.
